Lupinus texensis is one of five Bluebonnets recognized as the Texas state flower.
This well-recognized native flower creates an ocean of blue and white blooms, often seen along our Texas highways. The Bluebonnet makes a lovely addition to your meadow, prairie garden, English garden, or even a seasonal pop of color along your garden bed border.
The Texas Bluebonnet features elongated clusters of up to 50 pea-like blue flowers with signature white centers. Flowers bloom freely through early to late spring, attracting butterflies and native bees. In the winter, the plant decorates the landscape with rosettes and circular clusters of leaves.
