Lavandula stoechas 'Ghostly Princess'
Ghostly Princess Lavender is a woody evergreen perennial with highly aromatic, grey-green leaves. Its stems end with thick, shimmering flowerheads bearing tiny magenta-purple buds and large upright, pale lavender-pink petals on top. This plant blooms heavily in spring and lightly in summer and is attractive to bees and butterflies. It is also deer-resistant.
This lavender variety thrives in full sun and requires dry to medium, well-drained soil. Once established, it is drought-tolerant and can handle heat better than other lavender varieties. Deadheading will promote continued blooms. Pruning after the first flush of flowers and again after the second round will help maintain its shape.
