Yucca Faxoniana
There is no better way to describe Yucca Faxon than 'Spanish Dagger.' This tree-like yucca grows up on an extra-thick, stout trunk and makes a bold statement in the landscape. It can easily grow to 10' tall when fully mature, with long leaves reaching outward to 8' wide. Don't plant this yucca too close to walkways; make sure it has plenty of space to grow. In addition to being hardy to about 0 degrees, this yucca is heat- and drought-resistant.
This slow-growing yucca grows up to 15 feet tall with a spread of 10 feet. It has rosette-shaped leaves and an upright trunk with a distinctive trunk shape. An attractive display of creamy white, bell-shaped blossoms emerges from the center of the plant every spring on a 3-4 foot flower stalk.
