Phlox paniculata 'Texas Pink'

Phlox paniculata, commonly known as garden phlox, is native from New York to Iowa and extends south to Georgia, Mississippi, and Arkansas. It has spread from gardens and become established in areas outside its original native range.

Texas Pink Garden Phlox produces large rounded clusters of lightly fragrant purplish-pink flowers on sturdy purplish-red stems. The blooming period typically starts in early summer and lasts for several weeks and potentially longer if the flowers are deadheaded. Texas Pink Phlox is a mildew-resistant, prolific blooming variety of our native Phlox paniculata. For optimal results, it is recommended that an utterly sunny location with well-drained soil be provided. The flowers are attractive to butterflies and giant bees.

Regular deadheading can help maintain a clean appearance and prolong the blooming season. To achieve the best results with Garden or Summer Phlox, it is advisable to provide good air circulation, moderately rich soil, and average moisture in full sun.
