Hesperaloe funifera x parviflora 'Pink Parade'
The plant features striking spikes of pink bell-shaped flowers with coral-pink overtones and shell-pink eyes. These flowers rise above the foliage on spikes that can grow up to 8 feet tall from late spring to mid-summer. The Pink Parade Red Yucca has large succulent spiny leaves that are green in color with decorative white fraying fibers. The foliage often turns brick red in the fall, producing khaki (brownish-green) capsules in late fall.
This perennial plant adds a shapely form and delicate texture to the garden's composition. It's great for planter containers or in a water-wise garden bed. The Pink Parade Red Yucca is relatively low-maintenance and is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season. It's also an excellent choice for attracting hummingbirds to your yard.
