Salvia lemmonii  'Mesa Azure'

From dense spikes of dark-colored calyxes emerge purple tubular flowers that are produced throughout the year on a compact, lush, and low-growing plant with bright green quilted foliage. Mesa Azure Salvia's nectar-rich flowers attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and long-tongued bees anytime this tidy plant is in bloom. If flowering slows down, light pruning and fertilizing will restart production.

Mesa Azure Salvia will perform best in a well-drained sunny location and is moderately drought resistant once well-established. This little perennial Salvia's compact habit and exceptional flower power should make it a great candidate for well-drained, low-maintenance container plantings in the garden and landscape.
