Nierembergia gracilis 'Starry Eyes'
'Starry Eyes' Nierembergia dazzles with its charming white cup-shaped flowers adorned with lovely lavender centers and cheerful buttery yellow eyes at the tips of the stems. These delightful blooms appear early in the season and continue to grace us into the fall. For the best effect, try planting them in groups! Their small, narrow leaves stay vibrant green all season long, although the fruit isn't particularly eye-catching. This wonderful mature herbaceous perennial grows in a lovely, dense mound that's about 10 inches tall and 18 inches wide, adding a touch of delicate texture to your garden that truly deserves to be showcased.
Native to the Argentine desert, Nierembergia gracilis is perfect for those sunny summer days, flourishing beautifully in full sun. While many nierembergias struggle in hot summers, 'Starry Eyes' remains a resilient companion, covered in lovely light lavender bells from spring until fall. To keep it thriving, ensure it has good drainage and soak up at least six hours of sunshine each day. Although 'Starry Eyes' isn't winter hardy, it makes a fantastic addition to mixed containers, bringing joy and color. This plant enjoys a bit of care and occasional pruning to remove any dead growth when needed. It's often used as a 'filler' in the popular 'spiller-thriller-filler' container combinations, offering a delightful mass of flowers that beautifully complement the bolder thriller plants. Just a little reminder: if you're growing them in outdoor containers and baskets, don't forget to water a bit more frequently than you would in your garden.

Spring Shipping:
Orders are shipped within 7-10 business days. We will email you if there are expected delays.
When you order plants from our nursery, you can expect them to arrive in the best possible condition. Our team carefully packs each order using sturdy, biodegradable packaging materials.
Your plants' appearance may vary depending on the season and their current growth stage. We may cut back the leafy growth of some plants to prepare them for shipment and transplanting.
5 Gallon and Up: Any plant purchased to ship over 5 Gallons will be shipped bare root. This means we will remove the plant from its original pot, remove the soil surrounding the roots, and wrap the roots with a biodegradable plastic bag. This reduces weight and the likelihood of damage during shipping.
Once your plants arrive, it is essential to plant them as soon as possible. This will help them rebound and thrive. If you cannot plant immediately, water regularly and keep the roots off heat-conducting surfaces.
Newly transplanted plants often require more water until their roots are well established. Plan to water them 1-3 times weekly for the first few months.
