Mimosa borealis is a small ornamental shrub that produces beautiful, fragrant pink puffballs in the spring. Bees and butterflies are attracted to it as a source of nectar and food. It is excellent for xeric gardens, but we suggest planting it away from high-traffic areas due to its thorny branches. Once established, it can withstand extreme heat and harsh conditions.
