Phlox paniculata 'Ka-Pow Pink'
Phlox paniculata, commonly known as garden phlox, is native from New York to Iowa and south to Georgia, Mississippi, and Arkansas. However, it has escaped gardens and naturalized into areas beyond its original native range.
Ka-Pow Pink Garden Phlox has extra-large rounded clusters of lightly fragrant hot pink flowers produced atop sturdy stems. The excellent branching characteristics of this Phlox series ensure an abundance of flowers throughout the summer. Their showing begins in early summer, lasting for several weeks and possibly longer if they are deadheaded. Ka-Pow Pink Phlox is a mildew-resistant, free-flowering selection of our native Phlox paniculata. Provide an entire, primarily sunny site with well-drained soil for the best results. The flowers attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds.
Periodic deadheading will help keep them looking clean and extend the flowering season. For the best results with Garden or Summer Phlox, provide good air circulation in moderately rich soil with average moisture in full sun.
