Sedum kamtschaticum var. floriferum
Sedum kamtschaticum, often referred to as Kamchatka sedum or Kamchatka stonecrop, is a charming ground cover that gently spreads out to create a soft foliage mat about 6 inches tall, with trailing stems reaching 12 to 18 inches wide. It's a lovely native plant from northern China and the beautiful Pacific coast of Siberia, including the stunning Kamchatka Peninsula.
This delightful plant features thick, triangular, succulent leaves that are semi-evergreen and come in a dark green shade. The leaves vary in length from 3/4 to 1 1/2 inches long. While some leaves at the stem bases will drop off, you’ll find that the tips tend to stay green and vibrant. In June through August, tiny star-shaped yellow flowers appear in lovely flat cymes, each holding 6 to 10 blooms. After flowering, these blossoms give way to small fruits that turn a lovely russet red as fall arrives. As winter sets in, most of the foliage quietly disappears, but don’t worry! It will return with the warmth of spring.
Among the delightful varieties is ‘Weihenstephaner Gold,’ which is known for its starry pale yellow flowers that take on enchanting pink tones as they mature. This cultivar stands out with its silvery gray-green foliage and usually reaches a delightful height of just 3 to 4 inches during the summer bloom.

Spring Shipping:
Orders are shipped within 7-10 business days. We will email you if there are expected delays.
When you order plants from our nursery, you can expect them to arrive in the best possible condition. Our team carefully packs each order using sturdy, biodegradable packaging materials.
Your plants' appearance may vary depending on the season and their current growth stage. We may cut back the leafy growth of some plants to prepare them for shipment and transplanting.
5 Gallon and Up: Any plant purchased to ship over 5 Gallons will be shipped bare root. This means we will remove the plant from its original pot, remove the soil surrounding the roots, and wrap the roots with a biodegradable plastic bag. This reduces weight and the likelihood of damage during shipping.
Once your plants arrive, it is essential to plant them as soon as possible. This will help them rebound and thrive. If you cannot plant immediately, water regularly and keep the roots off heat-conducting surfaces.
Newly transplanted plants often require more water until their roots are well established. Plan to water them 1-3 times weekly for the first few months.
