Mimosa borealis

Common names include Fragrant Mimosa, Pink Mimosa

Mimosa borealis is a charming shrub known for its lovely, fragrant pink puffballs that bloom in springtime. These delightful flowers attract bees and butterflies, making them a wonderful addition to any garden. It's especially perfect for xeric gardens, just remember to plant it away from busy areas since its branches can be quite thorny. Once it’s settled in, this resilient plant can handle even the hottest days and toughest conditions with grace. Due to its thorny nature, its quite deer resistant.

Spring Shipping:

Orders are shipped within 10-15 business days. We will email you if there are expected delays.

When you order plants from our nursery, you can expect them to arrive in the best possible condition. Our team carefully packs each order using sturdy, biodegradable packaging materials.

Your plants' appearance may vary depending on the season and their current growth stage. We may cut back the leafy growth of some plants to prepare them for shipment and transplanting.

5 Gallon and Up: Any plant purchased to ship over 5 Gallons will be shipped bare root. This means we will remove the plant from its original pot, remove the soil surrounding the roots, and wrap the roots with a biodegradable plastic bag. This reduces weight and the likelihood of damage during shipping.

Once your plants arrive, it is essential to plant them as soon as possible. This will help them rebound and thrive. If you cannot plant immediately, water regularly and keep the roots off heat-conducting surfaces.

Newly transplanted plants often require more water until their roots are well established. Plan to water them 1-3 times weekly for the first few months.

Customer photo review of Fragrant Mimosa

Had some initial stress which is normal from transport and the August heat. It took several days to plant so it lost foliage. However it is growing some new buds which is an excellent sign that the plant is recovering and establishing well. Can’t wait till next year when it blooms. It’s going to be gorgeous!

Customer photo review of Fragrant Mimosa

Upon arrival, all of the plants were on the dry side. I'm pretty sure that really drenching the roots before shipping would solve that issue. I unpacked them immediately, watered them and set them in a shady spot to recuperate and I'm sure they'll be okay. I'm excited to have these plants. They've been on my wish list for a long time. I'm sure I'll be purchasing from you again.

Fragrant Mimosa

Thank you for having this item. Very few nurseries have access to this shrub. Many tried to sell me the mimosa tree and had no idea what the mimosa borealis was. Your knowledge and understanding was a great help to me.
